About
Hi, my name is Claudia Bolli and I'm the owner of Wild Green Garden Consulting in Edmonton, Alberta. I'm a nature lover, gardener and teacher. My education includes a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma in Biological Sciences, a Permaculture Design Certificate, Organic Master Gardener training, Master Naturalist training, numerous gardening courses, and workshops from The Urban Farmer and other inspiring teachers.
I have enjoyed work as a teacher and environmental educator in the public education system, in private business and in the non-profit sector. My desire to contribute to society in a way that protects our planet has led me to permaculture, a design system for human habitat that is inspired by relationships found in nature. Permaculture creates abundance, wild green places, and has the potential to repair suffering landscapes and communities.
My business activities include garden design with a focus on natural and edible landscapes, site consultations, and workshops. My own small yard is an evolving, dynamic landscape with native plants, edible perennials, fruit trees and vegetable beds with mostly rainwater irrigation. My yard is my pantry, living library, laboratory and edible sanctuary.
Connecting children with growing food and appreciating nature is also close to my heart. I feel privileged to dedicate part of my time coordinating Little Green Thumbs, an indoor gardening program for schools in Edmonton.
