Growth in the potato tower has been great. I have added more compost and leaves (see bands of different coloured material - click on photo to enlarge) and I will need to add more very shortly. The musk melon in the second cage is doing ok, but I'm sure it will grow much better once we get some heat.

Claudia, I have an accidental potato tower. I threw into my compost bin the last of last year's potatoes, all very small and wizened, tho with tall shoots attempting to find some sun in the basement pantry (there is none). This week, in removing some finished compost, along with the compost were medium sized new potatoes. I do not know yet how many more there are in there, but it was a very successful use of tiny, old potatoes!

Isn't it great to find "accidental" food! Comments are closed.
